Questions
Everything people ask before they order.
How long does it take?
We state 10 business days from your order to your parcel leaving us. Each card is written one at a time by a real pen, which is slower than printing and the whole point.
What counts as a note?
One household, one card. A couple who gave one gift is one note; two colleagues who each gave something are two. The studio counts them for you and tells you which size to pick before you order.
Some of my guests have no address. Does that matter?
Only for the Addressed and Mailed levels. For Written we leave every envelope blank. The studio flags missing addresses so you can add them, or leave them and address those few by hand.
Can I change a note after I have ordered?
Yes, until we start writing. Your code opens your notes on any device; edit, rewrite or approve as you like. Once the pen starts, the set is locked and we will tell you.
What happens to my guest list?
It stays in the studio and is used only to write and address your cards. Nothing from it goes into analytics or email. Drafts you never order are deleted after 60 days; addresses are deleted 30 days after your cards are mailed. Ask and we delete everything at once.
Is the handwriting real?
It is written with a real pen on real paper by a plotter following a handwriting model, so every note is different and the ink is real ink. It is not a human hand, and we never say it is. The previews on screen use a web font that resembles the hand; the cards look better.
Can I use this for something other than a wedding?
Soon. Baby showers, graduations, sympathy and company holiday cards are next; the studio works the same way for each. If you need one now, write to us.
How do I pay?
In our Etsy shop. The studio is free; when your notes are approved it gives you a code, you pick the level and size on Etsy and paste the code at checkout. We take it from there.
